STEVE WELLS
At my age (64 going on 65 ) its easy to start thinking that certain things are inevitable . The waistline expands and the aches and pains increase. 10 months ago that was how I felt. I thought I was reasonably fit and healthy. I had aches and pains after playing golf or gardening but surely that was to be expected. I was a lot heavier than in my prime but so what?

It was only when my wife Ann started training and I could see the results, that I started to question my situation. I didn’t think it was fair that she was making such an effort and achieving such results while I was sliding into obesity and ill health.
So I took the first and hardest step - Personal Training with Steve.
The results during these 10 months PT sessions have been amazing. My figures only tell half the story but still seem pretty impressive.

1.Body fat decreased by 5% and metabolic age down from 62 to 49.
2.A total of 19cm reduced from my chest and waist measurements.
3.I’m now wearing 32” waist trousers after years of 34”- 36“
4.I am regularly running 10km and improving times after scarcely being able to jog for more than 3 minutes when I started.
5.On the golf course I’m swinging the club better and hitting the ball further than ever and my handicap is already coming down.
6.At my annual medical at work, the nurse had to recheck my records as she couldn’t believe the numbers - weight, blood pressure, lung capacity – all improved to a level not seen in the last 5/6 years.

However, the main thing is not the measurements, It’s the general feeling of wellbeing. All those aches, pains and stiffness that I used to suffer from after any kind of exercise have completely gone. It’s an incredibly liberating feeling. In the past I used to go to the gym but made no progress and now I realise why. Without Steve I could never push myself to the level necessary to make real changes to my fitness. PT sessions involve a lot of pain and a lot of cursing but there’s a confidence that I won’t be asked to do anything that Steve doesn’t believe I can do and I wont be asked to do anything that could cause harm or injury. Its this confidence that enables me to push myself hard enough to get the results.
